Contest Rules for Entry:
A Chorus Line San Diego Singular Sensation Sweepstakes
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
To Enter: Visit the website located at www.BroadwaySD.com and follow the instructions to create a “Be the One audition profile.” Limit one entry per person.
Entry Period: July 18, 2008 to August 1, 2008. All entries must be received by 11:59 pm (Pacific Daylight Time) on August 1st. No mechanically reproduced entries permitted. Sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, delayed, mutilated, altered, illegible, postage due or misdirected entries or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or any entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof. Entrant is responsible for any on-line charges incurred by Internet Service Provider. All entries become Sponsors’ property and none will be returned. Your submission of an entry certifies that you satisfy all eligibility requirements and have read and complied with all of the Official Rules of this Sweepstakes and agree to be bound by the Official Rules and decisions of the Sponsors and Sweepstakes judges.
Sponsors. Sweepstakes sponsors are the A Chorus Line National Tour, Cox Communications, Inc., Cox Media, Inc., and Broadway San Diego,(“Sponsors”). Sponsors are not liable for computer or technical errors, malfunctions, viruses, data downloads, printing errors or similar malfunctions in connection with this Sweepstakes. Sponsor may cancel this Sweepstakes at any time if the Sweepstakes website becomes infected by a virus.
Winners: Eight (8) finalists from among all eligible entries received will be selected on or about August 4th, 2008. Finalists will be selected as follows from the online voting system: The top 4 male and the top 4 female vote getters will become finalists. Odds of becoming a finalist depend on number entries receiving the top number of online votes from among all of the eligible entries received. The one (1) person who garners the most votes will receive a $500 grand prize. Broadway/San Diego will attempt to notify the provisional winners by telephone within twenty-four (24) hours of the drawing. If the provisional winner is contacted and notified in person within such 24 hour period and complies with these rules, he/she will be declared a winner (“Winner”). If the provisional winner is not reached and notified in person by telephone within twenty-four (24) hours of the drawing, or does not comply with these rules, he or she may be disqualified and Broadway/San Diego may select a substitute provisional winner at random from among all remaining eligible entries.
Provisional winners must be notified in person and must personally consent to receive any prizes within 24 hours of the drawing. Except where prohibited, the acceptance of Prize constitutes Winner’s consent to use his/her name and likeness in any media whatsoever for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation or limitation
Prizes and approximate retail values: Prizes will be awarded which include Two (2) theater tickets to see A Chorus Line at the San Diego Civic Theatre on August 14 (approximate retail value $120), and two (2) invitations to the cast party (approximate retail value $100). One grand prize winner will also receive $500 in cash. No substitutions or cash equivalents allowed, except that all prizes are subject to availability and Broadway/San Diego may substitute a prize or prize component of equal or greater value. Award of Prize is subject to Winner’s proof of eligibility, including proof of residency, and execution of an affidavit and release as described in ‘winner’s responsibility’ section below. The Prize is nontransferable and non-assignable.
Redemption: All prize awards for tickets and party invitations in San Diego must be redeemed by August 1, 2008. Tickets and certificates may not be redeemed for cash. Winner is solely responsible for payment of all expenses not specifically mentioned and for payment and reporting of applicable federal, state and local taxes relating to Prize. Winner must accept Prize within 7 days of notification that he/she has been declared the Winner. Failure to accept and take delivery of the Prize within this time period will result in forfeiture of all rights and interest in the Prize.
Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. The following persons are not eligible to win Prizes or otherwise participate in this Sweepstakes: employees of Cox Communications, other Sponsors (see “Sponsors” section ), their respective affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, the immediate family members of all such employees and all others with whom they are domiciled. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
Release: All selected finalists and prize winners must execute an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance Form prior to within seven (7) days of notification. Noncompliance/return of prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsors and each of their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents, and representatives from any damage, injury, death, loss, claim, action, demand, or other liability that may arise from their acceptance and/or use of any prize or their participation in this sweepstakes, or from any misuse, or malfunction of any prize awarded. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute Prize of equal or greater value if prize is unavailable.
Acceptance of Prize constitutes consent to use winners’ name and likeness for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. In the event of any dispute as to who submitted an online entry (email), the entry shall be deemed submitted by the “authorized holder” of the email account. The “authorized holder” shall mean the natural person assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.).
Disqualification: Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the website or who is otherwise in violation of the Official Rules. Sponsors may prohibit an entrant from participating in this sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in their sole discretion, Sponsors determine that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of this sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsors’ representatives. Sponsors further reserve the right to cancel, terminate or modify the sweepstakes in the event the sweepstakes is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering or technical failures of any kind.
To all entrants: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decision of the judges. By participating, entrants consent to receive notification of future promotions, advertisements or solicitations by or from sponsors via email, direct mail, or other means of communication. The Sponsors reserve the right to terminate, cancel, suspend or modify this Sweepstakes if Sponsors determine that fraud, technical failures, or other acts or events beyond the reasonable control of Sponsors have compromised the fairness or integrity of this Sweepstakes.
Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these rules shall otherwise remain in effect and be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein |
