The one that you want is back! GREASE, Time Magazine’s 2007 pick for “#1 musical of the year,” is rockin’ across the country in this new production direct from Broadway.
Take a trip to a simpler time of poodle skirts, drive-ins, and T-birds. “Bad boy” Danny and “the girl next door” Sandy fall in love all over again to the tune of your favorite songs: “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin” and “We Go Together” as well as additional songs from the hit movie: “Grease,” “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and “You’re the One That I Want.”
So throw your mittens around your kittens and Hand Jive the night away with the show that’ll make you want to stand up and shout, “A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop A-wop-bam-boom!” GREASE!

When Taylor Hicks won Season 5 of "American Idol," he didn't just ride on the 63.4 million votes that helped him secure the title. Oh, no. While on the "American Idol" tour with the other finalists, he was already beginning to promote himself as a solo artist.
"I had my band follow me, and we did shows after the 'American Idol' concerts," he said. "It was like a shadow tour. It's a wonderful way to kick-start a record."
That strategy worked well for him (his first recording, "Taylor Hicks," went platinum), so he's repeating it while on the "Grease" national tour, which arrives in San Diego on Tuesday.

Brian Crum rises from San Diego to Rydell High

At only 21, Brian Crum is a rising star on – and off – Broadway. This week, Crum and the cast of the national tour of Grease, the musical based on the film, are headed to San Diego. The production stars “American Idol” Season Five winner Taylor Hicks as “Teen Angel,” and features a trifecta of hot young San Diego actors in leading roles – Crum is from Clairemont, while Kate Morgan Chadwick of La Mesa plays “Frenchy;” and Kelly Felthous of Vista plays “Marty.” Read More...
