THE JOURNEY TO BROADWAY STARTS HERE

The Broadway San Diego Awards are a local high school musical theatre competition in which students from all over San Diego County compete for a chance to represent our city at The National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as The Jimmy Awards, in New York each June. The Jimmy Awards are a national celebration of outstanding student achievement, recognizing individual artistry in vocal, dance, and acting performance and elevating the importance of theatre arts education in schools.

Winners will be selected in the Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Musical categories. The winners for Best Actor and Best Actress will then be sent on an all-expenses paid trip to Broadway where they will participate in a week-long theatre intensive that includes coaching sessions, training, and rehearsals led by some of Broadway’s most accomplished professionals, culminating in an extraordinary, one-night-only talent showcase.
